Students with disabilities are entitled to the same benefits of the university`s educational mission, and the same quality of student life, and are subject to the same academic and procedural requirements as other students. Rutgers is committed to providing reasonable accommodations inside and outside the classroom to meet students` diverse needs. The university`s services include special assistance in academic advising, scheduling or rescheduling classes in barrier-free buildings, on-campus transportation for students with permanent or temporary mobility disabilities, assistive devices and equipment, learning assistance, and communication with faculty regarding students` general or specific needs. Each school in New Brunswick has a designated coordinator of services to students with disabilities to assist students enrolled in their school.
