The master of science program in health informatics began in 1993. The student body
is a diverse group of health professionals; however, admission is not limited to medical
and health-related professionals.
All students complete at least 36 credits of which at least 30 credits must be formal
coursework.
This includes:
-
21 credits of core courses
-
15 credits of electives
Students successfully completing the program are granted the master of science degree
in health informatics.
To meet the needs of busy professionals, we offer students the flexibility in time and
place for study. Both the postgraduate certificate in healthcare informatics and the master of science in health informatics are available in both in-class and online modes. For the online version of the program, all the required courses are made
available as web-based courses and the thesis/project guidance will be offered through
interactions with instructors by multimedia resources and electronic communications.
