Welcome to the Rutgers School of Health Professions, the nation's largest, leading health professions school.
I can proudly say that there are few health professions schools offering the education and training that you'll find here. Our accomplished faculty is engaged in research and scholarship and is frequently invited to present at regional, national, and international conferences.
The dedication of the faculty, the caliber of teaching, and the quality of patient care provided by our graduates has earned our school enormous respect and admiration, and secured our position as one of the leading health professions schools in the country. We are proud to say that Rutgers was named the #2 school in the nation by College Factual for the study of health professions in 2019.
Our approach to health and wellness is holistic and patient-centered. We are in the forefront of rehabilitation education, investing in a new and growing research center to improve the quality of life for people who experience traumatic events and chronic diseases. And, at a time when clinical lab testing plays a vital role in health care, our lab science and imaging programs teach students to do cutting-edge work that will lead to better patient outcomes and longer lives.
We take great pride in the extraordinary success of our graduates, who consistently exceed state and national pass rates on licensure, registry, and certifying examinations. As you learn more about us, you'll discover a vibrant, exciting school well-poised to prepare you for the challenges of 21st-century health care. Far into the future, I know our graduates will lead the way in improving lives, solving problems, and inventing new technologies to meet the nation's ever-changing health care needs--building on all that they learned and accomplished here.
Sincerely,
Gwendolyn Mahon, M.Sc., Ph.D.
