Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs-Newark and New Brunswick 2020-2022 Degree Programs Master of Science in Healthcare Analytics and Intelligence (formerly Master of Science in Healthcare Services Management)

Master of Science in Healthcare Analytics and Intelligence (formerly Master of Healthcare Services Management)

Healthcare analytics and intelligence is a fast-growing industry with an increased demand for healthcare analytical professionals who can apply various analytical tools to create data-driven solutions for complex problems in the healthcare system. As the population ages and the whole healthcare industry shifts toward value-based care, the need becomes even greater.

Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs-Newark and New Brunswick's  master of science in healthcare analytics and intelligence (M.H.A.I.) degree program will give students the tools, insight, and expertise they need to be a successful analytical professional in the healthcare industry. A multidisciplinary and innovative program, the M.H.A.I. offers a customized, business-oriented, and practice-based curriculum applied to the healthcare services sector. The program is designed for applicants who are data savvy with a strong desire to pursue analytical roles in the healthcare industry.

At just 36 credits, this flexible, hybrid program can be tailored to fit a busy schedule and can be fast-tracked and completed in one year. Practice-based capstone projects give students practical experience to apply what they've learned in classes taught by elite healthcare and analytical scholars--all in one of the most healthcare-dense areas in the United States.

Whether you are transitioning from an engineering/business background or clinical care practitioner into healthcare analytics and consulting, or seek to do so, our program will empower you to become a confident, strategic player in healthcare organizations and their extended supply chains.

The program and its curriculum are also STEM designated, allowing international students qualify for a 36-month OPT to work in the United States on a job related to the field of study during the program or after the graduation.

Formerly known as the master of science in healthcare services management (M.H.S.M.) degree program, the new program name and the STEM designation were approved by the State of New Jersey on May 8, 2020. The new curriculum and new courses for the program were approved by RBS faculty on December 12, 2019.
