The master of public health (M.P.H.)/master of business administration (M.B.A.) dual-degree program is offered by the Rutgers School of Public Health and Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs–Newark and New Brunswick. The program is designed to prepare students for administrative positions in the complex and evolving health care industry. This is a full-time or part-time program that requires the completion of up to 84 credits. Upon completion of the required coursework, students receive the M.P.H. from Rutgers School of Public Health and the M.B.A. from Rutgers Business School. Applicants to the dual-degree program must take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and be approved for admission by both the Rutgers School of Public Health and Rutgers Business School. Therefore, applicants for the M.P.H./M.B.A. program should submit an application to each school. Course requirements for the M.P.H. include the five core courses (15 credits) and five required courses (15 credits) for the Health Systems and Policy Department and 6 credits in fieldwork.
