management process: self-assessment, market assessment, job search skills and
tools, and negotiation strategies.
Self-Assessment OCM offers SkillScan, a self-assessment tool, to help students identify
career interests, values, and skills.
Résumé and Cover Letter
Review Career management specialists help students shape their
résumé
and cover
letter into effective job search tools.
Mock Interviews
A mock interview provides an
excellent dress rehearsal for the real thing. Mock interviews can be
videotaped, and feedback is provided by career management specialists.
Symplicity Job Postings and
Announcements Students can apply to full-time and summer internship positions posted in
Symplicity, as well as register for career events, including career fairs,
corporate presentations, and workshops.
Résumé Books OCM invites companies to browse
résumé
books in Symplicity, organized by
specialization and graduation year, to identify appropriate candidates for
full-time opportunities and summer internships.
Résumé Referral At the request of employers, OCM forwards resumes of those students who
meet the employer's stated qualifications for full-time positions or summer
internships.
Career Management Program
(CMP)
The CMP, a required, non-credit-bearing course for all full-time master of business administration/master of quantitative finance students is given each fall to introduce students to the career management
process and to assist students in formulating appropriate strategies for an
effective job search.
Career Management Workshop
(CMW) The CMW is held during the summer for part-time students graduating in the
upcoming academic year who wish to participate in the OCM Recruiting Program. Attending the CMW is mandatory for participation in the OCM Recruiting Program.

Symplicity OCM utilizes Symplicity, an online career management system, to post
full-time and summer internship opportunities sent to us by employers
interested in recruiting Rutgers students.
Employers are also invited to browse the resume books in Symplicity to identify
