Student Access

Rutgers University requires that all students obtain an official Rutgers account known as a NetID. This is an account on one of the main systems at Rutgers and provides email, file storage, and web space. In addition to these services, a NetID is important as it is required to gain access to a large number of important computing and academic related resources. For example, these accounts are needed to access Blackboard, computing labs, dial-up services, and to check your grades online. For detailed information about these accounts, please see the NetID link located on the services for students page of our website.
