The master of public health/master of business administration (M.P.H./M.B.A.) degree program is offered by the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) - School of Public Health and Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs-Newark and New Brunswick (RBS). The program is designed to prepare students for administrative positions in the complex and evolving health care industry. This is a full-time or part-time program that requires the completion of 72-78 credits. Upon completion of the required coursework, students earn two degrees: the M.P.H. from UMDNJ-School of Public Health, and the master of business administration M.B.A. from RBS.
Applicants to the dual-degree program must take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) prior to
admission to the M.B.A. program and be approved for admission by both the UMDNJ-School of Public Health and RBS
. Course requirements for the M.P.H. include the five core courses (15 credits) and five required courses (15 credits) for the health systems and policy department.
