B.S. in Business/M.B.A.

The bachelor of science (B.S.) in business/master of business administration (M.B.A.) program is a unique distillation of Rutgers Business School's (RBS) new direction of complementing a multifaceted curriculum stressing business, science, and technology with significant student participation in contemporary business cultures that together give graduates a big career advantage. This B.S. in business/M.B.A. program is an exclusive program made for promising business students (grade-point average of 3.6 or better) on both the Newark and New Brunswick campuses who are eager to start their business careers. Candidates apply in their third year. Those accepted will receive academic advisement and earn both their undergraduate degree and an M.B.A. in an accelerated program.

The program also gives students ample exposure to the contemporary working world of top regional companies that have partnered with RBS and support imaginative internships, team-consulting opportunities, cooperative employment programs, and professional development workshops. The core of the program encourages leadership and strategic-thinking skills, empowers students to develop business networks, and exposes students to a range of career paths in business.

B.A./M.B.A and B.S./M.B.A.

The bachelor of arts (B.A.)/master of business administration (M.B.A.) and bachelor of science (B.S.)/master of business administration (M.B.A.) program are special study plans that allow students to earn both a B.A. or B.S. and an M.B.A. within five years. Normally, the sequence of two degree programs require six years. This accelerated program offers students the opportunity to develop liberal arts interests, as well as prepare for a career in management or business. The first three years are spent at one of the Rutgers undergraduate divisions that participates in this special program. During these years, students complete the general studies requirements as well as the required courses for the major, for a total of no more than 90 credits.

If accepted into the program, students will take graduate courses towards the M.B.A. degree in the fourth year. These courses are offered at the Newark Campus. The fourth year is still considered the senior year of undergraduate school, and students receive the benefit of undergraduate tuition rates. At the end of the fourth year, students should have completed successfully all undergraduate requirements for the bachelor's degree. During the fifth year, students will complete their graduate studies and receive an M.B.A. degree.
