Rutgers College was
chartered in 1766 and is the original nucleus around which the
university developed. Formerly an undergraduate college for men, it is
now coeducational. Dedicated to the promotion of excellence in
undergraduate education, Rutgers College provides its students with
clear guidelines in the pursuit of a liberal arts education.
