Founded in 1918 as
the New Jersey College for Women, Douglass is the largest women`s
college in the nation. While maintaining rigorous standards of
instruction in the fundamental disciplines of the liberal arts,
Douglass supports and develops programs that link major courses of
study to future careers. The college also implements special programs
as well as independent activities designed to help women students
develop the qualities required for achievement in any field of
endeavor.
