To declare or change a major, students must complete a form, which is available in the academic departments and online through the Office of Academic Services. The academic department will review each declaration of major request. Once approved by the respective academic department, a formal processing of the major declaration will take place by the Registrar's Office. All students must have declared a major by the time 60 degree credits have been completed.
Note: Some academic departments may have prerequisites and/or require approval by an adviser. Students are strongly urged to consult with an academic adviser and the specific departments offering the majors they are considering in order to facilitate the planning needed for an appropriate sequence of the courses required to complete the major within four years.
