Education

Through its teacher preparation programs, the Department of Urban Education empowers teacher candidates as justice-oriented educators in racially, ethnically, economically, and linguistically diverse urban schools. For the Urban Secondary Education major, students dual major in one of the following disciplines: English, mathematics, science (biology, chemistry, geology, environmental sciences, or physics), social studies (history, political science), and world language (Spanish or Portuguese).
