Minors must complete a total of 24 credits (typically eight courses) with a grade of C or better to qualify for the minor in sociology.
Minors must take:
21:920:201 Introduction to Sociology
Minors must also complete one course on sociological theory:
21:920:409 Classical Sociological Theory
or
21:920:415 Contemporary Sociological Theory
Students must also complete 18 credits (typically six courses) of electives.
At least 15 of these credits (typically five courses) must be Sociology 920 classes.
Up to 3 credits (typically one course) may be taken in anthropology, criminal justice, economics, psychology, political science, or social work with the explicit approval of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.
