Marketing Core Requirements

All marketing majors required to maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 2.50 and complete the following required courses:

   29:630:374  Consumer Behavior (3)
   29:630:385  Marketing Research (3)
   29:630:452  Marketing Strategy (3)

Marketing Electives

All marketing majors are required to complete three marketing electives from the following list of courses:

   29:630:363  Introduction to Advertising (3)
   29:630:368  Retail Marketing (3)
   29:630:369  New Product Planning (3)
   29:630:370  Business-to-Business Marketing (3)
   29:630:371  International Marketing (3)
   29:630:372  Services Marketing (3)
   29:630:401  Sales Management (3)
   29:630:428  Marketing and Society (3)

   29:630:486/7  Independent Study in Marketing (BA) (must complete the independent study form and consult with an academic adviser to receive credit)

   29:630:490/1  Marketing Internship (3) (must complete the internship form and consult with an RBS career management specialist to receive credit)

   29:630:495  Marketing Cooperative Education (BA) (6) (6 credits: 3 credits will count toward marketing elective credit, and 3 credits will count toward free elective credit.) Internship program for six months (January to June, or June to December) at a participating corporation. Must complete the Co-op Form and consult with an RBS career management specialist to receive credit. Evaluations by corporate supervisor in the participating organization and an RBS career management specialist determine final grade in the course. Prerequisites: 29:010:204, 29:390:329, 29:620:300, 29:630:301 and junior standing.
