To ensure that every graduate has the opportunity to acquire a broad liberal arts education, the faculty has prescribed the following general curriculum requirements for all students, regardless of major field.
These requirements include:
English Composition
Writing across the Curriculum
Mathematics Proficiency
Foreign Language
History and Literature
Natural Sciences
Social Sciences
Fine Arts
Interdisciplinary Studies
Restricted Electives
Courses may not be used to fulfill more than one distribution requirement, but a course generally used to fulfill a distribution requirement may also be used to fulfill a major or minor requirement. Any exceptions are noted in the description of the relevant major or minor curriculum.
