The Rutgers University Placement Test is
designed to help the admitted student by assessing his or her
individual skills in language and mathematics. Placement test results
provide information about course placement. Students with verbal SATs
of 600 or higher are exempt from taking the English placement test and
place automatically into English Composition or Expository Writing
(355:101).
