Natural Sciences

Every student must successfully complete a one-year course with a laboratory in a natural science (8 credits), and 3 additional credits in either the natural sciences or mathematics. A mathematics course taken to fulfill this requirement must be at a higher level than the course taken to meet the mathematics proficiency requirement.

The laboratory science requirement is satisfied by taking one of the one-year introductory courses, with laboratory, offered in the natural sciences area. Students with specific career or major interests in scientific fields should seek academic guidance in choosing laboratory courses.
