26:120:540 Advanced Human Physiology and Pathophysiology II (3) This is a course that will focus on the underlying physiological causes of disease state in the acute and critically ill adult client. Using a body systems approach, content will address the major pathological alterations managed in the acute and critical care setting for clients who are hemodynamically unstable and technologically dependent. Mastery of course content provides the student with the pathophysiological bases required for the diagnostic and therapeutic decision making fundamental to the management of disease states, specially seen in culturally diverse and vulnerable populations. Prerequisite: 26:120:547.
26:120:547 Advanced Pathophysiology (3) This online course focuses on the pathophysiology of common disease conditions affecting human beings across the life span with the major focus on adult disease. Content builds on basic anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and chemistry. The pathophysiologic bases of common human health alterations and associated clinical manifestations are discussed.
