Major Declaration and Change of Major

Declaration of Major.  Students in the four-year bachelor of science program declare their engineering major after the first year. Transfer students declare the engineering major when admitted to the School of Engineering. Currently, all students in the School of Engineering are admitted to the major of their choice. The School of Engineering reserves the right, however, to restrict enrollments in certain majors if the need arises.

Change of Major.  Students wishing to change their major must fill out an application form that may be obtained from the School of Engineering Office of Academic Services. The change is not effected until approved by the old and new departments and until the completed form is filed with the registrar and appropriate deans.
