RU in
Rome - Rutgers University
Each
summer the Department of Italian offers RU in Rome--a four-week language,
culture, and internship program in Rome, Italy, that offers an opportunity for
students to earn 6 to 8 credits. It also provides excursions and other
extracurricular activities to acquaint students more fully with everyday life
in Italy today. Offerings include introductory to advanced Italian language
classes, food studies and culture classes taught in English, which include
trips around Rome and beyond and a credit-bearing internship for those selected
to participate. Inquiries should be addressed to the Department of Italian.

PROGRAMS
Florence
The International Studies
Institute (ISI) offers a variety of courses in Italian language, food studies
& sustainability, art history, studio arts, architecture, history, international
business, and Italian studies. All students are required to enroll in one
course in the Italian language -- the Institute offers Italian at all levels
from beginner to advance. Students may then choose freely from the wide variety
of elective courses available. In order to have an idea of what classes are

Rome
John Cabot University (JCU), an American-style liberal arts
university, welcomes approximately 600 study abroad students a year as well and
as some 350 full degree-seeking Italian and international students. Academic year, summer, fall, spring.

Perugia
Umbra
Institute has a robust catalog of academic offerings, including Food and
Sustainability, Music and Fine Arts, STEM, and Multicultural Psychology, to
name a few. All students are required to enroll in one course in the Italian
language -- the Institute offers Italian at all levels from beginner to advance.

Students
with intermediate level Italian skills will be excited by Umbras
innovative iCourses. These literature, media, and
sociology seminars are taught in English, but with hour-long sections taught
exclusively in Italian Global-Study
