The major consists of 12 courses, beginning with 01:560:132. Three courses are
required: 01:560:250 or 251; either 305 or 306 (Introduction to Italian Literature I
or II); and 493 (Senior Seminar). In addition to 250 or 251, a maximum of one
200-level course may count toward the major (1.5-credit minicourses do not count toward the major). The remaining courses must be at
the 300 level or higher. A maximum of three courses may be taken in English. All
students must take the Senior Seminar, 01:560:493. The student's program must
be approved by the undergraduate director. A minimum grade of C is required for
the course to count toward the major.
