The molecular biology and biochemistry (MBB) major is open
to students beyond their first year who have a 2.0 cumulative GPA and have
received grades of C or better in courses taken toward the major, except by
special permission of the department undergraduate chair. A grade of C or
better in all courses credited toward the major is required for graduation and
each course may be repeated only once to replace D/F grades.Departmental approval is required to declare the major in molecular biology and biochemistry. Students who want to
register for the MBB major must first visit the department's undergraduate secretary, Shalene

of materials distributed. Students will then meet with an MBB faculty member who will discuss
details about the major.
