30:721:301 Introduction to Pharmaceutics and Laboratory (4) Selected topics dealing with the physicochemical properties of drugs and pharmaceuticals (physical pharmacy); study of the fundamental principles and processes of pharmacy, metrology, and calculations. Prerequisites: 01:160:308, 1:640:135, 01:750:161.
30:721:320 Drug Delivery and Laboratory (4) Pharmaceutical product design and drug delivery. Theory of dosage form formulation, manufacturing, testing, stability, bioavailability, and controlled release. Prerequisite: 30:721:301.
30:721:430 Introduction to Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics (4) Rate processes; time-course extent of absorption, distribution, and elimination of drugs in humans, involving models, bioavailability calculations, and dosage regimen design. Prerequisite: 30:721:301.
30:721:495,496,497,498 Research in Pharmaceutics (BA) Undergraduate research in the pharmaceutical sciences. Prerequisite: Permission of instructor. No more than two semesters of research courses may be used to satisfy degree requirements. Pharmaceutics faculty.
