Eight-Year Bachelor’s Degree/M.D. Program

The bachelor`s degree/M.D. program, offered jointly by Livingston College and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, permits selected students to obtain a bachelor`s degree and a medical degree in eight years of study. Students are selected for this program at the conclusion of their sophomore year and are granted provisional admission into the medical school. A second review of the student`s credentials during the fourth year of the program is required to qualify for formal admission to the medical school. In the junior year, students begin to take medical science courses along with courses in fulfillment of their undergraduate degree. The bachelor`s degree is usually awarded by the end of the fifth year, and the medical degree by the end of the eighth year.

Also available are an articulated bachelor`s degree/M.D. program with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School and a bachelor`s degree/Doctor of Dental Medicine program with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Dental School.
