The master of music (M.M.) in music education online degree program is designed for the busy professional music teacher.
Students are encouraged to explore the relationship of music teaching to music
education philosophy, history and research, methodology, as well as educational literature.
Additionally, they will be challenged to synthesize and apply all of the
knowledge, skills, and understandings acquired in the coursework in a capstone
project that is tailored to their specific teaching situation.
To obtain a master of music in music education, students must complete a minimum of 30 semester credits and
successfully pass the capstone course. These credits will be derived from:
