Rutgers Conservatory at Shakespeare's Globe in London

Rutgers Conservatory at Shakespeare's Globe in London gives serious theater artists intensive conservatory training in London under the most accomplished theater artists in the United Kingdom. Through access to the Globe space, master teachers, scholars, and practitioners, this program fulfills the twofold mission of both Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and Shakespeare's Globe by combining the best of conservatory training in a professional theater of international stature. Rutgers sends bachelor of fine arts (B.F.A.) and master of fine arts (M.F.A.) acting students abroad for six months of conservatory study at Shakespeare's Globe. Design in London (12 credits). Design students study in the heart of London for the fall semester of the third year.

Shakespeare's Plays in Context (3 credits per semester). Plays and history are studied with Globe scholars. Fall semester: actors and designers. Spring semester: actors only.

British Art and Culture (3 credits per semester). Weekly trips to major cultural, artistic, and historical landmarks including a weekend trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon. Each week students see both classical and contemporary plays on the London stage, as well as opera, ballet, and fringe performances. Fall semester: actors and designers. Spring semester: actors only.�
