Language and Cultural Proficiency Requirements

Proficiency in the target language is to be demonstrated through an Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) (to schedule the OPI  contact t he American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages [ACTFL] at http://www.languagetesting.com). OPI results must be on file prior to student teaching.

There is no OPI for Latin; however, there is a Latin test requirement: http://www.state.nj.us/education/aps/cccs/wl/latin_test.htm.
