There are two doctoral degree (Psy.D.) programs: clinical psychology and school psychology.
Students
enrolled in the Psy.D. in clinical psychology program concentrate largely
on theory and practice in clinical psychology. Training in research
constitutes a secondary focus in the program. Students in this program
generally plan careers that primarily involve service in a clinical
setting.
Students enrolled in the Psy.D. in school psychology
program concentrate on provision of psychological services in educational settings as their primary career focus. Training in research is provided to support understanding of excellence in professional practice.
In addition, a doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) program in clinical psychology is administered by the School of Graduate Studies.
