Linda A. Reddy is an associate professor in the Psy.D. program in school psychology and serves as the director of the ADHD and ADHD-Related Disorders Clinic. She is the former founder and director of the Child/Adolescent ADHD Clinic and director of the Center for Psychological Services at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a research scientist at the Devereux Foundation's Institute of Clinical Training and Research. Her research interests include the assessment and treatment of children with ADHD-related disorders, empirically-based treatments, and test validation and development.
She has published over 45 papers and book chapters and coedited three books on assessment and interventions for children with special needs. Her books include: Empirically-Based Play Interventions for Children; Innovative Mental Health Interventions for Children: Programs that Work; and lnclusion Practice in Special Education: Research, Theory, and Application. She also has authored Group Play Interventions for Children: Strategies for Teaching Prosocial Skills with the American Psychological Association Press.
Dr. Reddy is currently the vice president of publications and communications for the American Psychological Association's (APA) Division 16-School Psychology, a member of the APA Violence Against Teachers Task Force, a member of the Steering Committee for the APA Interdivisional Task Force on Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and a member of the APA Committee on Division of APA Relations.
Dr. Reddy received a four-year U.S. Department of Education Institute of Educational Science grant in 2008. She also received the 2006 APA Division 16 Outstanding Service Award, the 2004 Distinguished Faculty Research Award from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and the 2003 Emerging Researcher Award for Significant Contributions to Research in Psychology from the New Jersey Psychological Association.
Dr. Reddy is also licensed in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania and is a nationally certified school psychologist. She consults with schools and agencies nationwide.
