Students are required to have coverage in place prior to the start of clinical courses. R.N.'s are to check with their individual carriers to determine coverage. If R.N.'s do not carry malpractice insurance, they are required to obtain coverage while enrolled in clinical courses. The policy should be in the amount of $1,000,000-$3,000,000. Verification with a photocopy of the front page of the policy must be on file in the Rutgers School of Nursing-Camden by August 1 every year the student is enrolled in clinical courses.
