The bachelor of science in nursing (B.S.N.) program is accredited by the
Commission on Collegiate
Nursing Education and approved by the New
Jersey State
Board of Nursing. Two tracks to the B.S.N. degree are currently
offered at Rutgers–Camden: a new four-year prelicensure
track; and a postlicensure track for registered
nurses (RNs).
Four-Year
Prelicensure Track:
The four-year
track is designed for students who will enroll as
freshmen and complete all degree requirements at
Rutgers–Camden.
Nursing courses start in the first year, with science,
arts,
and humanities courses integrated throughout the
curriculum.
The inaugural class of the four-year prelicensure track enrolled in fall
2010.
We plan to admit 50 students annually for two years and then increase to
75 students
annually so that by 2015-16, there will be 300 students in the four-year
track.
