Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden offers an R.N. to
B.S.N. program for registered nurses who are seeking the bachelor of science in nursing degree. The R.N. to B.S.N. program builds upon the
existing foundation of nursing knowledge and clinical experience
possessed by registered nurses.
Students who have earned their associate's degree in nursing or hospital school diploma may transfer up to 60
credits toward the B.S.N. degree. Transcripts are evaluated upon
acceptance to the R.N. to B.S.N. program. When accepted, students will be
awarded 33 credits for previous nursing courses taken since they have passed the NCLEX licensing examination. The last 30 credits
toward a Rutgers degree must consist of courses taken at Rutgers.
Students may apply for admission during either the
fall or spring semester. Applicants must have a valid New Jersey
Registered Nurse license to enroll in the program.
Courses in the R.N. to B.S.N. program include
online, hybrid, and live classroom sessions.
