Attendance at all classes and laboratory experiences in all nursing courses is expected. See also: Policy on clinical lateness and absence and the policy on attendance in the Camden College of Arts and Sciences undergraduate catalog.
A minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 is required for admission to the nursing program. During the program, a 2.5 cumulative GPA must be maintained throughout the junior and senior years. Passing grades in Nursing (705) courses will be a C+ or better.
The grading format is:
A 90 - 100 B+ 85 - 89 PASSING B 80 - 84 C+ 75 - 79 ____________________________________________ D 70 - 74 FAILING F 69 and below
GPA formula: Credit X Grade = Grade Points Credits
All four clinical nursing courses, 50:705:351, 50:705:356, 50:705:471, 50:705:476, are PASS/NO Credit courses. A pass grade earns degree credit and is equivalent to an A, B, or C+. A no-credit grade is applied to a D or F. In either instance, the GPA is not affected.
