Each student is assigned to an adviser (see advisement binder in the Department of Nursing
office). It is the student's responsibility to know and comply with university regulations regarding advisement and preregistration.
Each adviser posts an appointment schedule in the advisement binder or emails
students to notify them of time frames available for advising prior to the beginning of each
semester. Students are required to seek advisement prior to the registration period each semester to avoid delays in registration and ensure proper tracking through the nursing major. Students should not add/drop courses before checking with a nursing adviser.
It is the student's responsibility to schedule an appointment with their adviser with
adequate time to meet university deadlines.
The prefix 008 is to be used when registering for courses at the freshman and sophomore
levels.
The prefix 705 is to be used when registering for courses at the junior and senior levels.
