Students minoring in sociology must take a minimum of 18 credits in sociology, anthropology, and/or criminal justice. No specific courses in sociology are required, but 50:920:207 Introduction to Sociology is recommended for all upper-level sociology courses.
Students majoring in criminal justice and minoring in sociology must take a minimum of 18 credits in sociology or anthropology in addition to the 36 credits required for the criminal justice major. Six of the required 18 credits can be satisfied by the sociology courses (50:920:301 Methods and Techniques of Social Research; 50:920:316 Race and Ethnicity; 50:920:332 Social Stratification) that criminal justice majors may take to fulfill major requirements.
