The university's Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy (SOP) in New Brunswick admits students directly from high school. Students admitted to the SOP have the option of taking the first two years of academic work in Camden. Students who are admitted to the Camden College of Arts and Sciences may be able to transfer to the SOP in New Brunswick, or another college of pharmacy, on a space-available basis. The first year's studies include 50:120:101, 102 General Biology I, II; 50:120:107 General Biology I Laboratory; 50:160:115-116 Chemical Principles; 50:160:125-126 Chemical Principles Laboratory; 50:350:101-102 English Composition; 50:640:121 Unified Calculus; and 50:960:183 Elementary Applied Statistics. The second year includes 50:160:335-336 Organic Chemistry; 50:220:105 Microeconomic Principles; 50:750:203-204 and 205-206 General Physics and Laboratory; human physiology; and 6 credits in the humanities or social sciences. This program can be completed only through daytime attendance.
