The bachelor in hospitality management program is structured to meet the educational needs of the adult working in the industry. The program provides nontraditional students within the eight-county region of Southern New Jersey a curriculum based on the liberal arts "creative thinking" mode with a special core of hospitality, tourism, and entertainment courses that incorporates "applied out-of-classroom" assignments into the course competencies. To meet the challenges of the service-oriented hospitality, tourism, and entertainment industry, managers need to be both adaptive and innovative with the ability to make quick decisions. The bachelor in hospitality management program is designed primarily for individuals who have an interest in pursuing careers within the hospitality industry in areas such as hotel management, casino administration, food and beverage operations, and other related fields. The program also makes extensive use of industry professionals as guest speakers to enhance the learning experience while providing the students a networking opportunity with senior executives. Since many students are employed within the industry, classes are conveniently scheduled in the evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:10 p.m. at the Atlantic Cape Community College Campus in Atlantic City.
