Graduate Study at Rutgers-Camden is focused primarily around four units:
- Graduate School-Camden
- School of Business-Camden
- School of Social Work
- School of Nursing-Camden
Each of these units represent differing faculty and areas of research and study; that is to say, students who are interested in nursing degrees would be enrolled in a fundamentally different school and unit than those interested in master's degrees in the Humanities, and would study among different faculty bodies. These differences contribute to how students can best navigate the pursuit of their passions, career paths, and potential interests. At the graduate level, each school and unit also houses some degree of an Admissions Office in their own unit, meaning that appropriate admissions questions can be directed to their central administrative offices.
The Graduate School-Camden offers robust options for master's, doctoral, certificate, and professional degrees, meaning that interested students have a high degree of flexibility when choosing among the programs that may suit their aspirations. Among these 25+ programs, the Graduate School-Camden has four doctoral programs: Childhood Studies, Public Affairs, Prevention Science, and Biology: Computational and Integrative. PhD students in each of these programs have contributed seminal pieces to their fields of research. Among the master's programs, the Graduate School-Camden covers an extensive range of both humanities and STEM-based areas of research and study, including programs such as a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, and a Master of Science in Chemistry.
The School of Business-Camden offers the master of business administration degree as well as the master of accounting through traditional and accelerated programs and modes of delivery (online and face-to-face).
In addition, the School of Social Work in New Brunswick offers the master of social work degree in Camden.
The School of Nursing-Camden offers a doctor of nursing practice in two tracks: adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner, as well as a post-master's option for nurse practitioners holding a master of science in nursing degree. The School of Nursing-Camden offers post-baccalaureate certificates in wound ostomy continence and school nursing. Jointly with the School of Business-Camden, the School of Nursing-Camden offers a doctor of nursing practice/master of business administration (D.N.P./M.B.A.) degree in executive nursing leadership.
Further information about the specific areas of specialization in which degree programs are available may be found under the general subject headings in the Graduate School-Camden chapter, the School of Business-Camden chapter, the School of Nursing-Camden chapter, and the School of Social Work chapter.
