Seminar in Chemistry (1,1)
A variety of topics of current interest regularly presented and discussed by students, faculty, and invited experts. Full-time graduate students must give an oral presentation annually. First-year, full-time students (Plan A: Thesis) must present their proposed research project to the graduate faculty before spring break. Students who anticipate degree completion (Plan A: Thesis or Plan B: Nonthesis) must present by mid-April for a May-dated degree (early September for an October-dated degree).

Individual Studies in Chemistry (BA,BA)
Designed for students conducting original projects in chemistry either
as part of the thesis research or for the nonthesis option. The project
is designed and conducted in consultation with a sponsor from, or
designated by, the graduate faculty. Nonthesis students complete 2 credits culminating in a written term paper and oral presentation
before the graduate faculty. Generally thesis students complete
at least 4 credits culminating in a written thesis and seminar
presentation.

Continuous registration may be accomplished by enrolling for at least 3 credits in standard courses, including research courses, or by enrolling in this course for 0 credits.
