M.S. STUDENTS
Admission to the master's program in forensic science is based on
evaluation of scholastic record, letters of recommendation, performance
on the Graduate Record Examinations, and a personal statement.
M.S. Application Deadline and Program Schedule
For Fall Admission, Application Deadline:
Submit your application by April 1 for priority consideration. Applications that are submitted after April 1 may still be considered based on enrollment availability.
For Spring Admission, Application Deadline: Nov 1
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Priority for scholarships, assistantships, and awards is given to applicants who submit a completed application by March 1 (fall admission) or October 1 (spring admission). Completed applications received on or after these dates are considered as they are received.
M.S. Admission Requirements and Application Steps
To be eligible for admission to the M.S. in forensic science program, individuals must:

Possess a baccalaureate degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field from an accredited university; a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 is required
- Students applying to the program should have completed a course in organic chemistry with a laboratory component. Other recommended
courses include biochemistry, genetics, and analytical/instrumental
chemistry.

Submit one official transcript from each postsecondary school attended

Submit a personal statement and C.V. summarizing
academic and professional achievements; the personal statement should
address your interest in forensic science and your career objectives

Submit a writing sample that demonstrates your academic writing

Two letters of recommendation from university faculty members who know you well or from research/laboratory supervisors/investigators
- At least one of the letters should be from faculty

Pay the application fee
Submit results from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
to be considered for Scholarships, Assistantships, or Awards. Results
from the general or chemistry test are accepted. Our GRE Institution code
