Admission Requirements


Applicants for the graduate liberal studies program must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. They should have attained a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 for the last 60 credits of undergraduate work. Graduate Record Examination scores are optional. In addition to an application form, prospective students must submit the following:

1. Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended

2. Two letters of recommendation (at least one should be from a former professor or someone who can attest to the applicant's academic abilities)

3. A personal statement explaining reasons for applying to the program

4. A writing sample of approximately 5-10 pages, such as a research paper written for a college class or equivalent

Applications for the fall semester should be submitted no later than August 15; for the spring semester, no later than December 15.
