Victoria Chase

Clinical Associate Professor. Professor Chase teaches the domestic violence clinic and supervises the Domestic Violence Project. She has served as the department chair for the clinical program since 2006. Before joining the Rutgers faculty, Professor Chase was executive director of the Legal Clinic for the Disabled, a public interest nonprofit law firm providing legal services to people with disabilities. Professor Chase's diverse employment history includes stints as a commercial litigator with Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, LLP and as an honors attorney with the U.S. Department of Transportation. She is experienced in disability law, transportation law, environmental law and toxic torts, family law and protection from abuse, public benefits, special education, and consumer protection. She graduated cum laude from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 1998. She received her bachelor of arts degree from the College of William and Mary in 1991. Professor Chase was named "Lawyering Professor of the Year" in 2007, and was honored for her work on behalf of women in the community by the Women's Law Caucus in 2005. In 2004, the Philadelphia Business Journal named Professor Chase to the "40 under 40," recognizing her as one of the region's top young professionals.
