1. A complaint/grievance may be initiated by the student
meeting with his or her faculty adviser and the field consultant to the
agency. At this point, each of the above persons should explore all
possibilities for an informal resolution to the complaint/grievance.
2. The second step, if necessary, is for the student and the field
consultant to meet the field instructor of the agency to discuss the
complaint/grievance and its possible resolution.
3. The complaint/grievance is presented in writing to the director of
field education for possible resolution. This step is initiated when
the response in step two is not satisfactory to all involved.
4. If the student is unable to get a satisfactory response in step three, he
or she can forward the complaint grievance to the dean of the school for a final
decision.
