The number of credits appearing on course records and registration cards may be preceded by a letter prefix as follows:
E. Course excluded from credit toward a degree. The student must complete all coursework, including the final exam.
G.
A 300- or 400-level undergraduate course for which credit toward the graduate degree sought has been approved.
J. Credit is awarded but grade not calculated into GPA.
N.
Course taken "not for credit." The final examination is not
required. A final grade of S (satisfactory) or U (unsatisfactory)
is assigned. Graduate students registering for undergraduate courses
are subject to the credit prefix rules of the undergraduate division
offering the course.
