The three-course (nine-credit) graduate Leadership of Public Organizations Certificate program offered by the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at Rutgers University-Newark provides pre-career and in-career students with advanced graduate studies in leadership and management within public organizations. This concentrated area focuses on leadership and management topics including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), management and leadership techniques, and a comprehensive review of all local, state, and federal policies that govern employment and employment practices.Students seeking the Leadership of Public Organizations Certificate complete three (3) required courses for a total of nine (9) credits from the following SPAA graduate courses:

- Leadership and Diversity (3)
- Labor Relations (3)
- Managing Public Organizations (3)*
- Human Resources Management (3)*
- Performance Measurement and Management (3)
