Admission requirements for the joint bachelor of arts or bachelor of science and master of public administration (B.A. or B.S./M.P.A.) degree are:
- Completion of 94 undergraduate credits including all general education requirements in any major
- Permission of major department
- Cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher
- Submission of application for early admission to M.P.A. degree (in junior year)
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test score (in junior year)
- Submission of admission application documents (application, personal statement, current résumé, three recommendation letters, undergraduate official transcript)
Documents for early admission should be filed within the first semester of the applicant's junior year. Once the applicant receives notice that they qualify for the joint program, they will be permitted to begin courses in the M.P.A degree program in the second semester of the junior year. Courses taken as an undergraduate are counted toward both the undergraduate and graduate degrees. M.P.A. courses taken as an undergraduate are charged at the undergraduate tuition rate.
