Executive master of public administration (E.M.P.A.) students enrolled in the program are required to complete 30 to 42 hours of coursework, depending on their eligibility for advanced standing. The advanced standing process allows students to petition for up to 12 credits based on significant experience or other graduate education experiences that are relevant to an M.P.A. degree.
Students who have completed six levels of the Certificate in Public Management (CPM) are automatically awarded six advanced standing credits. Other advanced training may also qualify as well. Students generally complete the course work for the M.P.A. within two years.
All students must maintain a grade-point average of at least 3.0.
