Student Review


Student academic progress is monitored regularly by the program directors.
  • Graduate students.  Graduate students are expected to earn grades of B or better in their coursework. Students whose cumulative grade-point average is below 3.0 or those who have received more than two grades below B are viewed as not making satisfactory academic progress. As a result, these students are required to meet with their graduate program directors. No more than 6 credits bearing grades of C or C+ may be used in meeting the requirements for a master's or a doctoral degree. Faculty members in a position to comment on the student's performance and progress may be asked to do so by the graduate program director or a designate. Any review performed will not be limited by the student's choice of faculty.
  • Undergraduate students.  Undergraduate majors and minors are expected to earn grades of C or better in their coursework. Students whose cumulative grade-point average is below 2.0 are viewed as not making satisfactory academic progress. As a result, these students are required to meet with the undergraduate program directors.
