School of Communication, Information and Library Studies 2008-2010 Master of Library and Information Science Program Admissions Tests

Tests

Applicants to the master of library and information science (M.L.I.S.) program must submit official scores from the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). Recent scores are strongly preferred, but older scores, as well as previous LSAT, GMAT, or MCAT scores from exams taken in preparation for graduate study several years ago, will be accepted. GRE information may be obtained by going to http://www.gre.org. Appointments to take this computer-based test may be made for any time, but the exam should be taken at least three weeks before the application closing date to ensure that the scores will reach Rutgers before the priority deadline.

There are no minimum scores required for admission to the M.L.I.S. program, but admitted students will generally have solid scores in at least the midrange.
